Back To School: Teacher Treats

School has started for some, and is just around the corner for the rest of us. I am excited to be starting a new school year (at a new school!), but needed some help with my organization. While performing a seemingly endless Google search for cute yet functional supplies, I came across C. Jayne Teach. I squealed with glee when I found the offerings on this site. A small, well-curated selection of organizational materials and adorable accessories, perfect for my new classroom.

A few of my favorites are The Anchor, a binder system that holds student data, volunteer and classroom forms, blank lesson plans and sub sheets. I love that the company also has a link where I can go to download free printables, such as Common Core standard checklists, schedules, and organizers. I also love the cute message mugs and pencils.

Check out this site for all things teacher-fabulous! Happy back to school for all my fellow educators.

Chambray Shirt: Now and Later

Chambray Shirt: Now and Later

Summer is coming to an end so naturally I'm brainstorming ways to wear my warm weather staples through the fall. Chambray was huge this season and will be a mainstay through autumn. I love tossing mine on top of my bathing suit with some flip flops but will be wearing it with a tweed skirt and some suede booties come September. I love the pops of color for my summer look, but can't wait to experiment with a neutral palette and varied textures in the fall.

Best Drugstore Beauty Buys

Best Drugstore Beauty Buys

I love splurging on luxe cosmetics, but I also like the convenience of running to a nearby CVS to pick up some staples. There are so many options now, and you can get some really good quality products for a fraction of department store prices. The items above are my absolute must-haves when it comes to drugstore shopping. The best part: you can get all of these beauty buys for less than $50!

2.) These coated jeans are in this season's "it" color: oxblood. Super versatile and comfy, they can be worn with heels for a night out or flats and a chunky sweater.

3.) Anything and everything moto is hot right now. This terry jacket combines equal parts toughness with softness.

4.) Cobalt and black are the perfect pair, and these cap toe pointy flats make a statement without taking it too far. Polished and prim without being prissy, these flats will be a staple well into the winter.

5.) Color blocking is here to stay. The pink makes this cross body bag fun while the oxblood keeps it sophisticated and not too girly.

Sheer Genius

One fall trend that I'm dying to try is sheer insets and paneling on clothing. Sheer can be tricky to pull off if you don't choose the right fabric or coordinating pieces. Here are the three ways that I'll be wearing sheer pieces this season.

Keep your look casual and cool with a sheer sleeved sweatshirt and a pair of grey skinnies. If you're only interested in a hint of sheer, choose a dress that has a smaller inset. The skater dress below would look adorable with textured tights and a pair of booties. Finally, a sheer hem can make this leather moto jacket feminine and romantic.

Leather Jackets for Every Budget

One of my absolute musts for fall is a great leather jacket. Whether real or faux, there are so many options for every budget.  Throw on now over a feminine maxi or sundress and then change it up with grey skinnies and suede booties when autumn arrives. These are just a few that I absolutely love.

Monday Must-Haves: Fitness Faves

It can be tough to stick to a workout routine, so I like to include cute, luxe products when exercising to ensure that I continue to stay on track. Here are my current obsessions:

Monday Must-Haves: Fitness Faves

1. The Fitbit Flex (can be purchased here) takes all the guesswork out of your fitness routine. It challenges you to take 10,000 steps per day, measures your calorie intake and burn, and even tracks your sleep! Everything is calculated and stored online, but I like to check my progress on the handy iPhone app as well.

2. I'm a lululemon fanatic, and I especially love their bags because they don't scream "gym rat." Instead, they offer polished, stylish options that can go from workout to office or errands. This  "Go With the Flow Bag" has water resistant pockets, making it an ideal beach bag, and also has a removable clutch for when you just need to take the essentials.

3. For those days when even a quick shower isn't an option, I love this Oscar Blandi Post Workout Styling Kit to keep my locks looking fresh. Start with the dry shampoo and then use the heat protectant to blow dry strands. Finish with the styling cream and set hair into place with the sleek headband.

4. bkr glass water bottles are my current obsession because they look chic but also eliminate any plastic taste that comes with some other brands. Best of all, the entire thing is dishwasher safe to ensure that the bottle is squeaky clean.

5. Last but certainly not least is my workout staple, lululemon's Wunder Under crop. The luon keeps everything in place and doesn't ride up or sag. I'll wear these pants to Bar Method and then keep them on as regular leggings for running around in afterwards.
