Monday Must-Haves: I Love NY

I (along with millions of other people) think that New York City is one of the best places in the world. The constant hustle and bustle, the fabulous eateries, and most importantly, the glamorous stores make it a cosmopolitan wonderland. You don't have to be a New Yorker to live like one, but these pieces will help add that Big Apple spirit to your home, wardrobe, and makeup bag.

Monday Must-Haves: I Love NY

1. I've been dying over this Tibi dress because I feel like the bold graphic print captures the New York vibe perfectly.

2. I love this Kate Spade ring because it would look just as awesome with a black cocktail dress as with some cut-offs and a tank.

3. This piece of wall art will instantly elevate your living room, making it totally chic.

4. Elizabeth Arden's "New York in Bloom" bronzing powder provides a sun-kissed glow I can rock all year.

5. I plan on sharing my love of NYC with Bond NY's sexy musk featuring notes of coffee beans, vanilla, and sandalwood.

Line I Love: Josie Maran

Although I wouldn't consider myself a beauty buff, I do appreciate quality cosmetics. I found a new love and couldn't wait to share it with you. Josie Maran, former model and entrepreneur, created a line of 100% pure, organic argan-oil infused makeup, skincare, and haircare products. They're gentle and eco-friendly but last all day.

Line I Love: Josie Maran

The coconut water cheek gelee is a great multi-tasker. The color goes on sheer and can be built upon for more drama. The formula is super hydrating so I also love it as a lip color.

When I need to wash the day away, I use the Bear Naked wipes. They're gentle enough for my face but quickly remove stubborn eye makeup.

The tinted moisturizer has been a God-send this summer. Sheer with just a hint of color, it keeps me looking flawless.

My going out staple is the lipstick/lipgloss combo which delivers just the right amount of nourishing pigment for work or play.

My favorite product is the Illuminator, which I use to highlight my cheekbones, décolleté, and the tops of my lower legs.

Transitional Dressing

I love the challenge of transitioning clothing from season to season. Two of my favorite pieces right now are an eyelet skirt from J.Crew and a tank I got from Aqua a few seasons ago. For summer, I'm pairing the two for a sweet yet edgy outfit. To transition to fall, I plan on topping my look with a white blazer (yes, you can wear white after Labor Day!)

Navy and Kelly Green

There are few color combinations that I love more than navy and kelly green. You don't have to look super preppy though to rock this palette.

I played with texture when putting this look together, mixing eyelet shorts with a tissue tank and a simple blazer. Neutral ankle strap sandals and a metallic cross body keep it from looking too pretentious.

Statement necklaces are my signature, so naturally I threw one of those on as well.

Orange Crush

With the heatwave in full swing, it has become a bit of a chore finding pieces that are cool as well as polished. I never underestimate the power of a great dress and this orange one is no exception. I love the bold hue and let it speak for itself, keeping my accessories complementary but minimal.

Monday Must-Haves: Fall Preview

Although I love summer, I get positively giddy over thinking about fall fashion. I love the rich colors and textures, and I relish seeing autumnal window displays for the first time. These are my favorite fall trends to add to your wardrobe.

Monday Must-Haves: Fall Preview

1. Booties have been fall staples for a few seasons now, and this time around, the styles are edgy and sexy. I love these mesh peep-toe booties because they can be worn now to toughen up a sundress and later with black tights and leather shorts.

2. Satchels in both mini and medium sizes are going to be the "it" bags. Practical yet polished, this particular style can be used for work and play.

3. Once considered a faux pas, the pairing of navy and black is likely to be seen everywhere. Since the colors are both neutral, feel free to punch up the look with metallic accessories.

4. Coated denim is effortlessly cool and immediately elevates a look. Wear these with a crocheted tank and ankle strap heels in the warm weather and toss a moto jacket over them in crisper temperatures.

5. Burgundy is classic and screams Old Hollywood glamour. I plan on puckering up in this color all season long.

Sunglass Wardrobe

A great pair of sunglasses can be a girl's best friend when she's tired, hungover, and/or out and about. The following shades will ensure that you're ready for anything.

Monday Must-Haves: Sunglasses

1.) Wayfarers are the ultimate cool girl sunglasses. They will always be in style and are worth the investment.
2.) Forget about the cheesy Top Gun styles. A smaller, sleeker aviator looks great as an everyday pair.
3.) Channel your inner Jackie O. with oversized sunnies. They'll protect your eyes while catching rays (lathered up in SPF, of course) and camouflage them when they're puffy or red.
4.) A fantastic pair of tortoise frames are perfect for when you want to look chic but don't feel like standing out. The neutral coloring is classic and glamourous.
5.) Every girl needs a fun pair whether it's a different frame shape or bright, mirrored lenses. These can be your cheapie pair or you can splurge on an awesome style.

What To Pack: Bachelorette Party

I know I'm not alone when I say that I'm in the midst of bachelorette mania! I went to my best friend's bachelorette party last weekend at the gorgeous Crystal Springs resort. The following pieces transitioned effortlessly from day to night.

What To Pack: Bachelorette Party

This striped boatneck sweater and pair of dotted chambray shorts were the perfect outfit for the drive. Comfy yet polished, I was ready for a weekend away. The Lilly Pulitzer maxi dress was preppy and nautical, and looked fabulous against my (faux) tan. A bright dress with some draping and a v-neckline was fun and bold. I wore a neutral pair of wedges with both, as well as these classic baubles from Stella & Dot. A straw clutch pulled all of the outfits together.

Stay tuned for next Friday when I pack for my next bachelorette bash!

Monday Must-Haves: Happy Birthday To Me

I'm fascinated by astrology and am a sucker for horoscopes and anything zodiac related. Naturally, I decided to devote this week's Monday Must-Haves to my astrological sign, Cancer, or the crab.

The older I get, the less I want when it comes to gifts. That being said, I wouldn't mind if any of these things showed up on my doorstep today.
