1 Piece, 3 Ways: Leather Pants

I love the look of leather pants. They scream cold weather chic and are surprisingly versatile. I recently got this pair (similar here) and have already been dreaming up the ways in which I will wear them this season.

1 Piece, 3 Ways: Leather Pants

For days when I'm feeling casual, I'll top the pants with this charcoal sweater to keep warm. A pair of cute sneakers will keep the look casual.

If I'm looking for a more sophisticated look for dinner, I'll pair it with this embellished button down and toss some essentials in a sleek clutch.

Finally, if I'm looking to be fun and on-trend, I'll wear this hot pink moto jacket which keeps the outfit from looking too tough.

Are you wearing leather pants this season? If so, how do you plan on styling them?

Monday Must-Haves: Palette Party

I love any and all beauty products, but during the holiday season, I love all of the brand new palettes in stores. Not only do they come in pretty packaging, they make my life so much easier when I have to pack and travel.

Monday Must-Haves: Palette Party

1. Sephora's "Glitz and Glam" medley is the perfect choice for all of those holiday parties that you'll surely be attending. Chock full of the beauty superstore's biggest hits, you can not only sample cult favorites such as Lancome's Hypnose mascara and NARS lip gloss in "Gold Digger," but you'll be picture perfect in no time. Bonus: the adorable laser cut clutch that holds everything.

2. If you're looking to splurge, look no further than the Dior Holiday Couture Collection. The beauty of this set is that you can create two totally different looks with one palette: dramatic (smoky) or sophisticated (nude). The reusable case can also be zipped up and taken out on the town in a bind.

3. Sometimes a girl just needs a little space...in her clutch, that is. Makeup guru Bobbi Brown gets that which is why I adore her Everyday Pretty Lip & Eye Palette. This mirrored compact has three neutral shadows, two lip colors, and one gloss which is perfect for on-the-go touch ups.

4. Too Faced's "All I Want For Christmas" collection will have you turning heads in no time! The pouch is adorably decorated with a turquoise and gold chevron pattern which will take you well past the holidays. Don't expect any high drama in this set; instead, think reliable basics that will stay put until you're ready to call it a night.

To Infinity (Scarves) and Beyond!

Temps are dropping and I've noticed a subtle chill running through my body as I dash outside. The thing that I love most about infinity scarves is that they're effortless, yet look polished. Here are a few of my favorites:

Halloween Costumes in Your Closet:Part I

I love Halloween yet I find that every year, I have less and less time to work on a costume. I'm also over the cheesy and way overpriced costumes sold in the stores (not to mention the fact that there's barely any fabric on them!) Here are two tried and true Halloween costumes that I've worn over the past two years using pieces I already had in my closet.

Fashionista Halloween Costumes Part I

Every girl has an LBD and with some pearls and a crystal hair clip, you instantly become Holly Golightly (I did buy the cigarette holder and gloves off of Amazon).

I was Rachel Zoe two years in a row because not only was the costume totally chic, but I was seasonally appropriate. A flawy blouse, bell bottom jeans, faux fur vest, and a pair of sky high heels will do the trick. Add oversized sunnies and a vent latte from Starbucks and you're golden.

Black and Gold

There's just something so elegant and chic about the combination of black and gold. Kate Spade always gets it right, and I'm dying over these pieces from her current collection. Try not to drool too much ladies!

Monday Must Haves

My must-haves this week are a mix of cozy casual and edgy sophistication. I've been obsessing over this J.Crew hat for a few weeks now, after seeing it all over the place. I don't usually wear baseball caps, but this one is preppy perfection. I can't wait to wear this embellished sweater with these faux leather leggings. A quick hat removal and I can wear both pieces out. I adore these cut-out booties, and I can't go anywhere without a little caffeine :)

Have a great Monday!

Lust List: J. Crew

It seems as though every day when I come home from work, I have yet another catalogue waiting for me. Normally I can shuffle through the pages, finding a few things that I like, but J. Crew has really outdone itself.

The focus this season is a mix of masculine and feminine, fun yet polished. Here are my picks for items that will take you through the fall and beyond.

Lust List: J. Crew

Luxe For Less: Fall Boots and Bags

I love everything about the fall, mainly the fashion. Despite the mild temperatures, I have a feeling that my autumnal uniform will consist of a cozy sweater, coated jeans or leather leggings, and great boots.

I found a these luxe looking pairs on Shoe Dazzle and matched them with equally expensive looking bags. Now you can strut through the season in style.

Kitchen Extras

Living in an apartment is cozy and wonderful, but it presents some spatial challenges, so any updates have to be minimal or I have to get rid of things to bring new ones inside. I love to cook and bake, so naturally, I'm always finding cute knickknacks to add to my kitchen. These are just a few things that I'm loving right now.

Easy Fall Updates

I've posted on various fall trends, but sometimes all you need are just a few things that can update your look and can be worn year round. These four picks are timeless and can be worn over and over again. What fashion and beauty updates are you planning on for the fall?

Back To School: Teacher Treats

School has started for some, and is just around the corner for the rest of us. I am excited to be starting a new school year (at a new school!), but needed some help with my organization. While performing a seemingly endless Google search for cute yet functional supplies, I came across C. Jayne Teach. I squealed with glee when I found the offerings on this site. A small, well-curated selection of organizational materials and adorable accessories, perfect for my new classroom.

A few of my favorites are The Anchor, a binder system that holds student data, volunteer and classroom forms, blank lesson plans and sub sheets. I love that the company also has a link where I can go to download free printables, such as Common Core standard checklists, schedules, and organizers. I also love the cute message mugs and pencils.

Check out this site for all things teacher-fabulous! Happy back to school for all my fellow educators.

Chambray Shirt: Now and Later

Chambray Shirt: Now and Later

Summer is coming to an end so naturally I'm brainstorming ways to wear my warm weather staples through the fall. Chambray was huge this season and will be a mainstay through autumn. I love tossing mine on top of my bathing suit with some flip flops but will be wearing it with a tweed skirt and some suede booties come September. I love the pops of color for my summer look, but can't wait to experiment with a neutral palette and varied textures in the fall.

Best Drugstore Beauty Buys

Best Drugstore Beauty Buys

I love splurging on luxe cosmetics, but I also like the convenience of running to a nearby CVS to pick up some staples. There are so many options now, and you can get some really good quality products for a fraction of department store prices. The items above are my absolute must-haves when it comes to drugstore shopping. The best part: you can get all of these beauty buys for less than $50!

5.) Color blocking is here to stay. The pink makes this cross body bag fun while the oxblood keeps it sophisticated and not too girly.

Sheer Genius

One fall trend that I'm dying to try is sheer insets and paneling on clothing. Sheer can be tricky to pull off if you don't choose the right fabric or coordinating pieces. Here are the three ways that I'll be wearing sheer pieces this season.

Keep your look casual and cool with a sheer sleeved sweatshirt and a pair of grey skinnies. If you're only interested in a hint of sheer, choose a dress that has a smaller inset. The skater dress below would look adorable with textured tights and a pair of booties. Finally, a sheer hem can make this leather moto jacket feminine and romantic.
